New Appalachia Mixed Exhibition

New Appalachia Mixed Exhibition seeks to capture new and innovative artistic experiences surrounding Appalachia and beyond. The exhibition will be held at Vestige Concept Gallery in Pittsburgh, PA, known as "The Paris of Appalachia." The show is open to emerging, mid-career, and professional artists of any kind. Work should encompass themes relating to something "new" and offer a refreshing perspective on arts in the wake of the pandemic. The exhibition is part two of a two-part series taking place in April/May 2021 and will also appear in an online gallery format.

Eligibility is open to artists over age 18 within the United States and Canada. Work must have been created in the last two years, convey new or fresh ideas in art, and must not have been previously displayed in a Vestige Concept Gallery exhibit. All work must be for sale. Glicees or reproductions of original works will not be accepted unless the work itself is a Glicee. Applicants may submit up to 2 entries for a $25 application fee, with an additional $5 per entry for submissions 3-6, up to 6 total. Artists will be notified of acceptance by April 25, 2021. Shipped works must arrive no later than May 4, 2021. The in-person opening reception will be held Saturday, May 8 at 6 PM, with the show running through May 28, 2021.

Accepted artists must provide a high-resolution 300 dpi image of accepted work(s), artist photo, short bio, and web/social links for the online version. Accepted artwork must match submitted images exactly with no substitutions. Artwork listed for sale must be at the price listed in submission with no changes. Vestige Concept Gallery retains a 25% commission on sales. Artists are responsible for shipping and return shipping to and from the gallery. 2D work must not exceed 30 lbs including frame. Wall pieces must be securely wired, framed, and properly prepared for display. 3D work or audio/video artists should contact the gallery to discuss display requirements.
