About This Call
The Nemeth Art Center is hosting Midwest Multiples, a regional exhibit of artwork created as part of an edition. Both artist books and prints, reproduced mechanically or by hand, will be accepted. No photography is permitted, although books and prints that utilize photography as one process within the context of a larger project are encouraged. Variable editions are welcome.
The exhibition will run for the month of August in Park Rapids, Minnesota. A print sale, artist talks, and workshops will accompany the exhibition. Accepted artists will be asked if they would like to participate in these events. The entry fee is $20.00. Submissions must include 1-5 images of work samples.
Eligibility: Artists must be current residents of Minnesota or a surrounding state (Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota). Submitted work must be part of an edition and utilize mechanical or hand done processes. Jurors include Anna Arnar, professor of Art History at Minnesota State University Moorhead, and Kristin Makholm, Executive Director of the Minnesota Museum of American Art.
