NCECA 2023 Juried Student Exhibition

The 2023 NCECA Juried Student Exhibition will be held at DAAP Galleries, University of Cincinnati, 2624 Clifton Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45221-0016, with exhibition dates January 26 - March 18, 2023. The exhibition runs concurrently with Currents, the 57th annual conference of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts, Cincinnati, Ohio, March 15-18, 2023. Ceramic artists Wesley Brown and Natalia Arbelaez will select works for the exhibition.

Eligibility is open to undergraduate, graduate, and post-baccalaureate students enrolled in the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico at the time the work was created. Works must have been completed within 12 months of the submission deadline. Students enrolled at institutions where the jurors currently serve as faculty are not eligible. Entry fee is $30.00 for non-members; NCECA members receive complimentary entry. All works must be primarily ceramic; mixed media works are accepted only when clay is the dominant material. Artists may submit up to two distinct works with no more than two media files per work. Work samples must not include visual representation of the applicant's name. Individual objects should weigh less than 100 lbs. and be of dimensions that can pass through a 36" x 80" entrance door. Floor and pedestal works must be self-supporting; wall hanging works must be provided with suitable hanging systems. Video work samples should be submitted as links to YouTube, Vimeo, or similar platforms, with one video no longer than two minutes in duration. All submissions must include an artist statement (up to 1000 characters) and a monetary value declaration for insurance purposes.
