About This Call

The Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft in Louisville, Kentucky will host the NCECA 2007 Clay National Biennial Exhibition from March 14-June 23, 2007, held in conjunction with the annual NCECA Conference in Louisville, March 14-17, 2007.

Eligibility is open to all artists 18 years and older residing in the United States. Artists from outside the U.S., including Canada, must be NCECA members to enter. Entered works must have been completed within the last 2 years. Media must be ceramic; mixed media will be accepted only when clay is the dominant material. Work may not exceed 60" in any dimension, and wall-mounted pieces are limited to 50 lbs. Artists may submit two artworks and one additional image view or detail per artwork, for a total of four images.

Entry fee is $15.00 for NCECA members and $30.00 for nonmembers. Use code NCECA06 at checkout for the discount. Jurors are Nick Kripal, Silvie Granatelli, and Syd Carpenter. A catalog of exhibited works will be published, and artists will be required to provide an additional 300 dpi professional quality image of each accepted entry. Works will be insured by the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft while on display. The Museum will retain a 30% commission on sales. Applicants will be notified of jurors' decisions by email. The artist is responsible for insured shipping to the museum; NCECA will be responsible for insured return shipping to artists within the U.S. Member artists from outside the U.S. will receive return shipping support up to $100. All accepted entries must be professionally shipped in sturdy, double-boxed, re-usable packaging materials. Participating artists must agree to allow NCECA and museum visitors to photograph work while on display for educational and publicity purposes.
