NAWA Summer Small Works Competition

This is a juried competition open to women artists ages 18 and up who are US Citizens or Permanent Residents. Awards include NAWA First Place ($250), Second Place ($200), Third Place ($150), and two Honorable Mentions ($50 each). NAWA receives 30% commission on all sales, with artists receiving 70%.

Artwork requirements: Maximum size for 2-D wall works and wall hanging sculpture is 15" x 15" x 5". Free standing sculpture accepted with 15" x 15" maximum size. Works exceeding maximum sizes will be disqualified. All artwork must be original; giclee prints and reproductions are not accepted. Artwork must meet professional web standards; blurry or poorly lit images will be disqualified. Sculpture should be photographed on a plain solid white background with two images/views allowed. Block your signature on artwork for blind jurying purposes.

Submission requirements: Submit original high-quality JPEG images at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge, maximum 30 MB file size. Crop images to show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background. Ensure correct orientation. Include a short artist bio (150 word limit) and work statement (150 word limit), neither including your name due to blind jurying. Entry deadline is June 28, 2024. Entry fees are non-refundable. No changes may be made to price, title, or information after submission. All work must remain available for the duration of the entire exhibition.
