About This Call
Nature's Patterns is an online juried exhibition open to all artists in the United States. The theme invites artists to interpret nature's patterns, from abstract concepts like the life cycle to visual patterns like fractals. The exhibition is open to all 2D media excluding photography and digital art, including watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oils, ink, casein, egg tempera, and other traditional watermedia materials.
Entry fee is $15 for non-members and $10 for members. Submit 1-3 images of work completed within the last 10 years. Work must not have been previously exhibited in a Rhode Island Watercolor Society juried show and may not be copied from copyrighted material or created under the direct guidance of another artist or from tutorials. Work may be listed as not for sale (NFS) by contacting the gallery at [email protected]. The juror is Susan Aitcheson. Exhibition dates are June 24th - July 28th, with an online opening reception on Friday, June 30th at 6pm via Zoom. Notification of acceptance is June 22nd. Over $400 in cash prizes will be awarded. If work is sold through the online gallery, the Rhode Island Watercolor Society receives 35% of the sale and shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer or artist.
