Nature Inspired: Summer Edition 2016

Nature Inspired is a published collection of writing and art that explores our deep connection to nature. It is printed four times a year, with each edition celebrating one season. The Summer Edition 2016 is due out June 2016 and will be designed as an 8.5 in x 8.5 in softcover book, full color and printed via digital print process. Books are available for sale through the Nature Inspired Anthologies website and on Amazon.com.

This call seeks poems and visual artwork that speak to both the literal and figurative experience of summer. Submissions may include poetry, short stories (up to 1000 words), paintings, prints, drawings, computer generated images, and photographs of 3D work. All writing must be submitted in English. Artwork must be submitted as high resolution, 300 dpi JPEG format. You may submit up to five written works, five pieces of art, or a combination of both not to exceed five total submissions. Entry fee is $35.00. This is an international call open to anyone 18 years of age or older.

If your work is selected, it will be published in the edition and available in print long after publication. Your name, image (if you choose), and website will be listed on the Nature Inspired Anthologies website under Meet The Artists for at least a year, along with a 3 sentence bio and the page(s) your work is found on. You will receive a PDF of the finished publication. Contributors may purchase up to two books at the cost to print. The organization sends out press announcements and approaches media outlets to review each edition as it is released, though there is no guarantee of press coverage. Submissions are reviewed as they come in; you may be accepted, not-accepted, or put on a waiting list.
