Nature Inspired: Autumn 2016

Nature Inspired is a published collection of writing and art that explores our deep connection to nature. It is printed four times a year, with each edition celebrating one season. The Autumn Edition is due out in late September, early October.

This call seeks poetry, short stories, and visual artwork that speaks to the vision of Autumn and deepens readers' connection to and understanding of the season. Poetry and short stories must not exceed 1000 words and must be submitted in English. Artwork may include paintings, prints, drawings, computer-generated images, and photographs of 3D work, and must be submitted as high-resolution 300 dpi JPEG files. Up to five writing samples, five pieces of art, or a combination of both not to exceed five total submissions may be submitted per entry. Entry fee is $35.00. This is an international call open to anyone 18 years of age or older.

Submissions are reviewed as they come in. Once the call closes, you will receive an email indicating if your work has been short-listed. A final selection is made after the book is laid out and the first proof copy is reviewed to ensure work reproduces well. If your work is selected, it will be published in the stated edition and your name, photo (if you choose), and website will be listed on the Nature Inspired Anthologies website under Meet The Artists for at least a year, along with a 3 sentence bio and page numbers. One entry will be selected as the cover piece and the artist will receive a free copy plus inside copyright page recognition. Contributors may purchase books at cost. The organization sends out press announcements and approaches media to review each edition as it is released.
