About This Call
The Square Format Collection is dedicated to works composed within a 1:1 aspect ratio. From intimate 6×6 drawings to monumental 48×48 canvases and square photographs, this call seeks artists who exploit the square's balance, symmetry, tension, or grid logic. All subjects and styles are welcome so long as the artwork's height and width are equal. This open call is available to artists internationally and welcomes all visual art media except video.
Selected artists will have their work archived and prominently featured for sale in the Square Format Collection for a minimum of 60 days, with potential inclusion in marketing materials such as videos, articles, email newsletters, and press releases. Artists will be evaluated by a panel of jurors composed of Naturalist Gallery curators.
Eligibility: Open internationally to all artists 18 years and older. Entry fee: $30.00. Submit 1-20 images of square-format work. Application deadline: October 13, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Exhibition dates: October 14, 2025 – December 13, 2025. Contact: [email protected]
