OPEN CALL FOR EXHIBITION: Naturalist Gallery Photography Collection. Photography occupies a complex position within contemporary art, functioning simultaneously as document, constructed image, and conceptual medium. Advances in technology and distribution have expanded photographic practice while intensifying questions around authorship, perception, and representation. The Photography Collection at Naturalist Gallery of Contemporary Art examines how contemporary artists employ photographic methods today. Works may involve documentary observation, staged imagery, experimental processes, digital manipulation, or conceptual photographic systems. Submissions are reviewed with attention to conceptual coherence, formal decision-making, and contextual relevance. Evaluation considers how the photographic medium is employed within the work rather than technical perfection alone. This call is open internationally to artists working in photographic media.
