Naturalist Gallery Painting Collection

OPEN CALL FOR EXHIBITION: Naturalist Gallery Painting Collection. Painting remains one of the most historically continuous and materially diverse forms within artistic practice. Despite the expansion of new media, painting persists as a primary site for investigating surface, gesture, materiality, image construction, and conceptual framing. The Painting Collection at Naturalist Gallery of Contemporary Art examines how contemporary artists engage painting today. Works may explore traditional techniques, experimental material processes, abstraction, representation, hybrid forms, or conceptual painting strategies. Submissions are reviewed with attention to conceptual coherence, formal decision-making, and contextual relevance. Evaluation considers how painting operates within the work as an intentional and resolved medium rather than as default convention. This call is open internationally to artists working in painting and painting-based media.
