Naturalist Gallery En Plein Air

The En Plein Air Collection invites artists to step outside and capture the essence of the natural world in real-time. This exhibition celebrates works created outdoors, from vast landscapes and seascapes to intimate street scenes and garden studies. The interplay of light, atmosphere, and spontaneity brings a unique energy to this collection. Whether impressionistic, realistic, or abstract, all approaches to plein air painting and drawing are welcome.

This call is open internationally to all visual artists 18 years and older. All visual art media except video are allowed. Applicants may submit a minimum of 1 artwork and a maximum of 20 artworks (up to 20 images, 6 audio files, and 6 video files total). The entry fee is $30.00.

Selected artists will have their artwork(s) archived and prominently featured for sale in the En Plein Air Collection for a minimum of 60 days, with potential inclusion in marketing materials such as videos, articles, email newsletters, and press releases. Artists will be evaluated by a panel of jurors composed of Naturalist Gallery curators. Application Deadline: 3/24/25 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Exhibition Dates: 3/25/25 - 5/24/25.
