About This Call
NATURAL: Studies of Wonder is a juried photography and digital art exhibition accepting works inspired by and informed by nature. The theme welcomes landscapes, macro photography, digital art, video art, scanography, and other nature-inspired works in any medium that can be displayed digitally or printed with an inkjet printer.
Accepted artists receive free professional printing, matting, and framing of their work. Specto uses an Epson SureColor P6000 archival printer with color calibration and archival matboard for mounting. Each juried show features 20-24 accepted works displayed during the month of June, with an opening reception on Saturday, June 9th. Accepted artwork dimensions are 12"x12", 12"x15", 12"x16", or 12"x18"; other dimensions may be accommodated upon request. Awards include $400 for best in show and two $100 honorable mentions. After the exhibition, all works are catalogued and archived to promote artists beyond the show dates.
Entry fee is $30 for up to 5 images, with each additional image costing $6 (maximum 10 entries per artist). Submissions must include 5-10 total work samples (images, audio, or video). Artists retain full copyright of their work and control over its use. Sales inquiries are directed to the artist, with Specto taking a 35% commission on finalized sales. Notification of acceptance occurs within 3-4 weeks, with accepted artists having 7 days to provide print-ready files.
