About This Call
Blue Line Arts invites artists from all art practices to submit artworks for "Natural Elements," an exhibition exploring the intrinsic connection between art and the natural world. The show will showcase a diverse collection of art that harnesses the raw beauty and profound influence of nature, whether crafted from organic materials or exploring the conceptual realm of nature's essence.
Juror Marianne McGrath, Chair of the Department of Art & Art History at California State University Channel Islands, will select works and award prizes: 1st place $500, 2nd place $300, and 3rd place $100. The exhibition runs December 2, 2023 - January 13, 2024, with an opening reception on Saturday, December 16th, 2023.
Eligibility: Open internationally. All artwork must be original and completed within the last two years, and cannot have been previously exhibited at Blue Line Arts. All 2-D works must be ready to hang with wire backing (no sawtooth hangers). Artwork must be able to enter through doors with clearance of 94"h x 91"w. All artwork must be for sale; Blue Line Arts handles sales transactions with 50% commission for non-members and 60% for members. Entry fee: $25 (non-refundable). Submit 1-10 images in JPG format, 1-3mb in size, minimum 1200px on one side. Image files must be renamed: LastNameFirstName_ArtworkTitle. Application deadline: October 7, 2023 at 5:00pm PST. Notifications sent by October 14, 2023. Shipping deadline: November 15, 2023. Hand delivery: November 19-20, 10am-3pm. Pick up unsold work: January 14-15, 2024, 10am-3pm. Artist pays for all shipping with prepaid FedEx or UPS label for return.
