About This Call
Robert A. Peck Gallery at Central Wyoming College is accepting applications for "Native Currents: Contemporary Indigenous Perspectives," an exhibition amplifying Indigenous voices and challenging dominant narratives by showcasing contemporary Native artists both locally and across the United States. Through a curated collection of innovative and inspiring works, the exhibition presents art from an Indigenous perspective, celebrating the depth, resilience, and evolving creativity of Native communities. Artists must be enrolled Native Americans and may reside anywhere in the world.
Most media are accepted; however, the jury will not accept videos, films, or AI-generated images. Artists may submit 1-3 JPEG images (72 dpi @ 8" x 10") for jurying, along with a one-page artist statement or process/technique statement that includes contact information. There is no application fee, and the gallery takes no commission on artwork sales. The exhibition runs January 18 - February 13, 2026, with jury selection occurring January 3-5, 2026. Artists are responsible for shipping artwork to the gallery by May 19, 2025; the gallery covers return shipping on August 20. Artwork must remain on display for the entirety of the exhibition. The gallery encourages sales of artwork, which occur directly between artist and patron. Jurors are Nita Kehoe, Professor of Art and Gallery Director at Central Wyoming College, and Al Hubbard, a multi-disciplinary contemporary Indigenous artist and Tribal Education Assistant for the Institute of Tribal Learning at Central Wyoming College.
