National Photography Celebration and Festival

Photographers of all levels of experience (emerging to established) who are residents of the United States are invited to participate in this National Photography Competition and Festival at MVA Gallery in historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. There are no restrictions on subject matter, style, and technique. A variety of approaches (traditional and non-traditional) will be accepted. Use any photographic equipment—from sophisticated professional devices to commonplace smartphones—or manipulate contemporary systems of image production. All photographic processes are welcome, from historical alternative methods to advanced innovative practices. Select your own appropriate mounting or framing not to exceed 48 inches on the longest side. Mixed media providing photographic elements are included.

Submission is exclusively through CAFE (CallForEntry) at https://www.callforentry.org. Entry fee is $35.00 for 3 different images. Additional files may be included for $5.00 each up to a total of 9 maximum. All images must be JPEG format, under 5 MB with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side. Include the following information: title, medium, size, price, and year of completion. Artwork must be professionally finished and ready for secure installation, equipped with stretched wire attached to the back. Plexiglass is preferred over standard glass for shipped artwork.

Notification to photographers will be sent on or about June 4, 2024. All accepted artwork must arrive at the gallery no later than July 23, 2024. The exhibition runs July 27 through August 25, 2024. Photographers are responsible for all shipping and insurance costs both to and from the gallery. An "Art of Distinction" Award will be granted, with one photographer selected and featured in a special exhibit. Additionally, one artist will be selected from all individuals accepted and displayed in an MVA Gallery exhibit during the past calendar year to receive an exhibition opportunity in New York City, with notification in December. For sales, the gallery takes a 30% commission with 70% going to the photographer.
