About This Call
The Phipps Center for the Arts in Hudson, Wisconsin hosts a juried art exhibition titled "National Parks – Personal Narratives" celebrating the National Park Service centennial. Artists are encouraged to submit their personal responses to National Parks through depictions, interpretations, impressions, and memories. The exhibition will be displayed in Galleries One, Two, Three, Overlook, and Riverview from October 21 to November 27, 2016.
The Phipps seeks work in all media. Artists who submit digital media or video installations must provide their own equipment. No reproductions will be accepted. Submissions may include up to four images of existing artwork, or a written proposal with designs for new work plus up to three images of previous work. The entry fee is $5.00. Submissions will be juried by members of the Visual Arts Council, comprised of artists, arts professionals, and art enthusiasts from the area. All submitting artists will be notified by email of the jury's decision on or before September 1, 2016.
Insurance is provided for all artwork while at The Phipps but not in transit; all shipping costs are the artist's responsibility. Sales made during the exhibition will be administered by The Phipps at a 35 percent commission, with payment made within 30 days after the exhibit closes. Drop-off and set-up dates are October 17-19, 2016. Pick-up and tear-down is November 28, 2016. For more information, contact Nicole Pederson at [email protected].
