National Juried Small Photographic Works Exhibition

Alex Ferrone Gallery presents the National Juried Small Photographic Works Exhibition, a juried competition for photographic-based works depicting the theme "The Circle." Submissions must show how the circle (or circles) plays an integral role in composition, form, design, and/or subject matter of the image. All works must be framed 14 inches or smaller. The exhibition runs November 26, 2016 – February 15, 2017, with an opening reception and awards presentation on Saturday, November 26 from 6-8pm. The juror is Charles A. Riley II, PhD, an art critic, curator, and author.

Eligibility: Open to national artists and photographers 18 years and older. Entries must not have been previously shown at the Alex Ferrone Gallery. The submission fee is $40 for up to three works and is non-refundable. Accepted works must be properly framed using bright white solid core mats and white frames with a maximum front profile width of 1 inch. All works must be for sale; Alex Ferrone Gallery retains 50% commission on sales. Digital submission deadline is October 3, 2016 at 11:59pm MDT. Accepted artists will be notified by October 24. Framed works must arrive at the gallery between November 14-18, 2016. This exhibition is also an annual charity drive; all chosen participants are required to bring or send two personal care products to be donated to the local outreach organization.

Awards: Grand Prize – Olympus OM-D E-M10 camera; First Place – One 16" x 20" Vibrachrome print; Second Place – $100 Gift Certificate to Abbot Art Framing and Giclée Services; Honorable Mention – $50 Gift Certificate to Berger Bros. Camera. Works must be picked up between February 20-24, 2017. Shipping to and from the gallery is the artist's responsibility.
