National Juried Exhibition at Larkin Arts

This is a national juried visual art competition and exhibition open to any artist who is a resident of the United States and is over the age of 18, working in two-dimensional media. Painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, or other traditional or non-traditional two-dimensional media (excluding film) are welcome. All works entered must have been created within the last three years.

Artists may submit up to two works for a non-refundable entry fee of $35. Work samples must be submitted as JPEG images (72 ppi/dpi, no smaller than 1920 pixels on the longest side). The juror is Gary Freeburg, Director of Duke Hall Gallery of Fine Art (Sawhill Gallery). Jury dates are August 2-30, 2016, with notification of acceptance via email on September 5, 2016. The exhibition runs October 7-30, 2016. Awards total $2000 in cash and prizes, including Juror's Choice, Director's Choice, and Audience Choice.

Accepted works must be framed or otherwise ready to hang. Works on paper must be behind glass or Plexiglas and professionally framed and wired to hang on a single nail. Works on canvas or wood must be framed or have gallery wrapped edges and be wired to hang on a single nail. All work must arrive at the gallery between September 26-30, 2016. Larkin Arts will take a 20% commission on any sale of work made during the exhibition or resulting from the visibility of the work during the exhibition.
