About This Call

The City of Napa invites artists to participate in the 2022 Napa Dia de los Muertos. Artwork is open to outdoor sculpture, installation art, altars, puppetry, and craft/art vendors related to Dia de los Muertos. Interested participants are encouraged to submit a proposal of current work or a proposal of an altar or offering honoring the life and memory of lost loved ones to display as part of the celebration.

This opportunity is open to artists residing or working in AZ, CA, CO, NM, NV, OR, UT, ID, or WA. All backgrounds and cultures are encouraged to apply. The event will take place Saturday, November 5th, 2022 from 3-8pm. Installations and altars must be self-maintainable and safe for the public. Artwork displays and altars will be located in downtown Napa at various public plazas and parks to create a walkable experience for all ages.

Submission requirements include: images of work to be shown and/or examples of past work, materials to be used, a description of how your work will fit the Napa Dia de los Muertos celebration, and an artist CV or list of past shows.
