Mythology & Metamorphosis

This exhibition invites artists to explore personal mythology and metamorphosis through their work. Guest Curator Joy Redstone asks artists to contemplate their personal mythology and how their art reflects their journey. The exhibition considers how mythology provides stories that address existential questions and guide cultural perspectives and personal meaning-making, while metamorphosis speaks to the possibility of change—a powerful theme for artists who transmute suffering into beauty and transform ordinary objects into something poignant or significant.

The exhibition runs February 14 through April 5, 2025. Accepted artists will be exhibited for two First Fridays. Entry fee is $22.00. Artists must submit 1-2 images of their work. Eligibility is limited to Colorado residents. Artists must be available and willing to work one 3-hour gallery sitting shift. Framed size must be included in the application; work that is 5 inches larger at drop-off than stated on the application may be turned away. All artwork must have a wire hanger attached to the back of pieces or unpainted sides on stretched canvas.
