About This Call
This exhibition invites artists to explore personal mythology and metamorphosis through their work. The Lab on Santa Fe, located in Colorado's Santa Fe Art District, is hosting this show during two First Friday Art Crawl events on March 7 and April 4, 2026. The exhibition runs from February 14 to April 5, 2026.
Accepted artists will exhibit their work in one of the area's most popular art districts, which attracts thousands of visitors during First Friday events. The entry fee is $22, and the commission split is 65% to the artist and 35% to the gallery. Guest Curator Joy Redstone encourages artists to contemplate their personal mythology and how their life experiences inform their artistic practice. The call welcomes explorations of mythological figures, personal transformation, and the transmutation of experience into art.
Submission requirements: Submit 1-3 images and up to 1 video. Include framed dimensions in your application. Work exceeding stated dimensions by more than 5 inches may be rejected at drop-off. All pieces must have wire hangers attached to the back or have painted sides on stretched canvas. Eligibility is limited to local artists in Colorado. The entry deadline is January 15, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
