My World in Blue

My World in Blue is a juried exhibition featuring works in blue, running July 17–August 23, 2025. Blue is reminiscent of the summer season, representing the tranquility of the sea, the vast open horizons of the sky, and the still hours before dawn. Blue often symbolizes both serenity and stability, sadness and longing, and the depths of human emotion.

Eligibility is limited to artists 18 and older living in the following 10 northern California counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, Sonoma, and Lake. All media are accepted except video, crafts, and installation. Works must not exceed 5 feet in any direction and can be completed at any point in the artist's career. Entry fee is $15 per artwork, with a maximum of 4 entries. Submissions must be JPG files at least 300 dpi resolution, with file dimensions of 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side and file size under 5 MB. The deadline for complete submissions is Friday, June 6, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. MDT.

The jurying process is blind, conducted from digital images submitted through Callforentry.org. Jurors will select three artists for the Jurors Recognition Award. Jurors include Lori Austin, a gallerist with close to 30 years of experience operating retail galleries in California, and Vicky Kumpfer, who has worked in civic arts with the City of Santa Rosa and currently serves on the Exhibitions Committee of Petaluma Arts Center.
