MY FAVORITE ART -- OPEN CALL

The MVA Gallery (Modern Visual Arts) invites artists, photographers, and sculptors of all levels to submit original artwork to this national open call exhibition. There are no theme restrictions or limitations on subject matter and style. Artists are encouraged to share their favorite artwork and demonstrate the uniqueness of their creative process. Accepted mediums include painting, watercolor, printmaking, mixed media, digital, pastel, encaustic, sculpture, fiber, drawing, and photography.

Submission Requirements: Submit 3-9 JPEG images (under 5 MB, minimum 1200 pixels on longest side) through CAFE (CallForEntry). Entry fee is $35.00 for 3 images, with additional images at $5.00 each. Include title, medium, size, price, and year of completion for each work. Artwork must be professionally finished and ready for installation with stretched wire attached to the back. Maximum dimensions: 48 inches (framed) on longest side, not exceeding 50 lbs for paintings; 24 inches on any dimension for sculpture. Photographs should be framed in black or white frames when presented traditionally. Do not submit previously exhibited work at MVA Gallery or reproductions of others' work.

Jurors will review all submissions. Notification of acceptance or non-acceptance will be sent by email on or about April 24, 2025. Accepted artwork must arrive by July 14, 2025. Exhibition dates: July 17 - August 16, 2025. Awards include an "Art of Distinction" Award featuring a special exhibition, an Annual Grand Prize offering a New York City exhibition opportunity, and an optional Director's Choice Award of $200. For sales, the gallery retains 30% commission and the artist receives 70% of the final sale price. Artists retain all rights to their work and grant the gallery rights to use images for publicity and archival purposes.
