About This Call
The Muralist Roster is an online resource for anyone seeking artists for mural projects, including community groups, business or property owners, public art programs, schools, architecture firms, and private developers. The roster will be posted on RACC's website with links to artists' websites, Facebook pages, or other platforms where completed projects can be viewed. Being on the roster provides exposure to potential clients seeking muralists and allows them to evaluate how your style and skills match their project needs.
RACC does not guarantee that artists on the Muralist Roster will be selected for projects. Artists on the roster who are selected for a project in the City of Portland may apply for matching funding through RACC's Public Art Mural Program. The roster will be selected by RACC's Public Art Murals Program Committee, seeking to develop a roster that reflects artistic excellence and diversity in style.
Eligibility: Artists must live and work in Oregon or Washington. Individuals currently enrolled in a degree-granting art program are not eligible. Artists do not need to have a project in mind when applying. Submissions must include an artist statement (up to 2000 characters) about your experience creating murals or street art with links to your work, a résumé or artist bio with contact information, up to 6 images of past work with location, year produced, and dimensions, and an image identification list for each image with location, date completed, media, dimensions, and brief project description. Applications are submitted through CaFE (www.callforentry.org).
