About This Call
Mundelein Community Connection announces the 15th Annual Mundelein Fine Arts Festival, a juried art festival showcasing approximately 50 fine artists and craftspeople. The two-day event will be held September 12-13, 2026, from 10 am to 5 pm at Courtland Commons in Mundelein, Illinois, and will feature live music and food from local vendors.
Creators of original art and fine crafts are invited to apply. All entries will be juried by a panel of Chicago-area professional artists and art educators. A jury panel will award a $200 prize for Best of Show and cash prizes for Best in Category (6 categories). The Kirk Players will award a $500 emerging artist award, and the Village of Mundelein will purchase work (totaling $500) to be displayed in Village Hall. Selected students from Mundelein and Carmel Catholic High Schools will also be awarded cash scholarships. Artists are responsible for providing their own 10x10 white tents, display tables, and materials. Each standard display space is 12 feet by 13 feet. Commission-free sales. Complimentary water, volunteer booth-sitting help, and a festival program brochure listing each artist will be provided.
Application fee is $25. Booth cost is $175 per space. Early bird discount of $20 applies to submissions made by March 31, 2026. Application deadline is May 1, 2026. Jury selection occurs May 26-June 10, 2026, with notification on June 10, 2026. Acceptance and payment must be received by July 1, 2026. No refunds. Artwork must have been created by the artist(s) submitting to the festival. All artwork shown must match the design and execution quality represented in photos. Artists may submit up to 2 applications and must provide 5 images, including a booth shot. Emerging artists are welcome to apply.
