About This Call
Mundelein Community Connection announces the 14th Annual Mundelein Fine Arts Festival, a juried art festival that will showcase the talents of 50 fine artists and craftspeople. The two-day event will be held from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday & Sunday, September 6 & 7, 2025, and will feature top-notch artists, live music, and delicious food from local vendors. Creators of original art and fine crafts are invited to apply, with all entries juried by Chicago-area professional artists and art educators.
A committee of well-known judges will award a $200 prize for Best of Show and cash prizes for Best in Category (6 categories). The Kirk Players will award a $500 emerging artist award, and the Village of Mundelein will select purchases totaling $500 to be displayed in Village Hall. Local businesses will also be invited to select purchase awards. The festival will also display artwork created by students from Mundelein and Carmel Catholic High Schools, with selected students receiving cash scholarships.
Booths cost $150 per 11x13 space with commission-free sales. Artists can save $20 with the Early Bird Discount by applying before April 15, 2025. The application fee is $25, with jurying held on June 15. Artists must provide their own 10x10 white tents, display tables, and materials. All artwork must match the quality represented in submitted photos, and artists may not sell work that hasn't been represented in the jury process. The festival provides complimentary water, volunteer booth sitting help, and extensive publicity including online advertising, social media promotion, and a program brochure featuring each artist.
