About This Call

Multifarious is an open medium juried exhibition of original and unique 2D and 3D abstract artworks. The d'Art Center is seeking abstract, non-figurative, non-objective, and/or non-representational artwork in a variety of styles and mediums. This exhibition is open to all functional and non-functional works in 2D, 3D, fine art, and fine craft in all mediums and styles. The exhibition will be displayed in person at d'Art Center's Main Gallery and will also be featured digitally on d'Art Center's archive site.

The exhibition runs from Saturday, August 6, 2022 through Saturday, September 3, 2022, with a reception on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 5:30-7:30pm. The juror is Rick Nickel, an artist, educator, and ceramic sculptor. Accepted works must arrive by 5pm Saturday, July 30, 2022. Awards include 1st Place ($500), 2nd Place ($300), and 3rd Place ($150). The d'Art Center retains a 40% commission on sales.

Eligibility is open to all artists 18 or older residing in the United States. All work must be original, created without instructor or kit assistance, and produced within the last eight years. The submission fee is $35 for 3 works (one image per submission) with an additional $5 for each submission beyond 3 (maximum 10 submissions). Submissions require 3-10 images. Works cannot exceed 50 pounds or 60 inches in longest dimension, though size and weight restrictions may be waived by contacting the Gallery Manager. All work must be hang/presentation ready. The artist is responsible for shipping costs to and from the gallery and must provide pre-paid return labels through UPS or FedEx. Hand-delivered works are accepted by pre-arrangement. The d'Art Center is not responsible for damage during shipping and recommends artists insure their work.
