About This Call

Kansas City Stockyards Gallery seeks artists to apply with work that explores "Movement." The exhibition runs September 17th through October 8th, with a reception on September 17th that is free and open to the public.

All mediums are accepted. Work should revolve around the ideas of movement. The gallery is located in the historic Livestock Exchange Building. Accepted artists must drop off work on Friday, September 10th from 1-5 p.m. or Saturday, September 11th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Artists shipping work must have it arrive by September 10th and are responsible for return shipping. A paid return shipping label with tracking number must be included in the shipping box or crate. Shipping insurance is recommended, and packing peanuts should not be used.

Artwork must be original and ready to hang with a wire hanging apparatus on the back. The gallery has shelves and pedestals available for 3D artwork. Damaged or unframed/unwired work will not be hung. Artists must pick up unsold work on Saturday, October 8th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or Monday, October 11th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entry fee is $10.00, with an additional $5.00 media fee for additional entries. Applicants may submit 1-10 images. National eligibility.
