About This Call
Mountain Canvases 2015 is an exhibition organized by the Allegany Arts Council of Cumberland, Maryland, featuring oil and acrylic paintings by Appalachian artists. The exhibition will be held in the Arts Council's professional Saville Gallery in Cumberland, Maryland. $1000 in prizes will be awarded.
The Allegany Arts Council, headquartered in Western Maryland, celebrates the rich traditional and folk arts of Appalachia while highlighting contemporary art being produced in the region. Entries will only be accepted from artists who reside in counties considered to be part of Appalachia, as defined by the Appalachian Regional Commission (see www.arc.gov/counties for included counties).
Entry fee: $30.00. Applicants must submit 1-3 images. Entry deadline: 1/14/15 at 11:59 p.m. MST.
