About This Call
The 52nd annual Mount Gretna Outdoor Art Show will be held "Under the Trees of Old Chautauqua" on August 15 & 16, 2026. This iconic summer event for the Pennsylvania Chautauqua serves as a community fundraiser on the third full weekend in August, featuring 200 fine art and craft exhibitors as well as an "Emerging Artists" section. The show runs 9 AM to 6 PM on Saturday and 9 AM to 5 PM on Sunday with no rain date.
The Art Show features a gourmet food court with outstanding local restaurants, and Snitz Creek Brewery will offer craft beer and wine in the Hall of Philosophy during the show. The Kids Art Show is scheduled for both days from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Chautauqua Playground, where children can participate in make-and-take art activities. Live music performances throughout the weekend include Jazz, Bluegrass, Folk and Pop musicians, plus street performers and a Film Festival in the historic open air playhouse.
Booth fees are $450 per space (10' x 12') or $900 for double space, with electricity available for an additional $50. Only original paintings, photography and crafts by the accepted artist are eligible - no commercially mass-produced items, kit assembled or imported jewelry, or buy/sell items allowed. Artists must be present for the entire show and carry their own liability insurance. The show has been named to Sunshine Artist "200 Best" and is ranked a top tourist event in Lebanon and Lancaster Counties, PA.
