Motion & Flow

Artists are invited to submit original artwork for the "Motion & Flow" exhibit at R Gallery in Boulder, Colorado. The exhibition seeks artwork in all styles and mediums that incorporate the themes of motion and flow. Motion is the action or process of moving or being moved, and flow is the continuous stream of movement. Artwork should focus on pieces that evoke the sense of movement, action, or a continuous current, including textures, emotions, materials, colors, and concepts of movement and flow. This can be a literal representation or symbolic interpretation of the fundamental motion and flow theme.

The exhibition runs April 14 through May 23, 2021. Eligible artists must be Colorado residents, and all entries must be of original design and personal execution. Accepted categories include Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Photography, and Mixed-Media. Submissions must include 3-10 images. Entry fee is $35.00 plus a $5.00 media fee. The submission deadline is March 21, 2021. Notification of acceptance will be sent March 25. Accepted works must arrive by April 11, 2021.

All pieces must remain up for the duration of the exhibition and must be for sale. R Gallery will handle all sales and charge a 50% commission unless otherwise stated in proceeding agreements. Work will be returned by June 15, 2021 unless otherwise agreed upon. A prepaid return label must be provided if sending work by carrier. R Gallery will send checks to artists for sales by the 15th of the month following the month in which the sale occurs.
