MOTION

Art Fluent invites artists worldwide to submit artwork to an online exhibition titled MOTION. The theme challenges artists to capture a moment in time and communicate visual suggestion of motion through line, texture, contrast, patterns, or color. Motion in artwork helps the viewer's eye move from one part of the piece to the next, with rhythm and flow implied through capturing movement.

Submissions must be in JPEG format following CaFÉ guidelines, with image size of 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side and maximum file size of 5 MB. Artists may submit up to 20 total images. Entry fee is $25 for the first entry and $10 for each additional entry; payment is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance. For 3D work, additional detail shots do not require additional fees. JPEGs are due by July 1, 2022. Notification of acceptance and online gallery opening will be by July 29, 2022.

The exhibition is curated and juried by Creative Director Amy Matteson Neill along with an anonymous committee of jurors. All accepted pieces will be displayed in the online gallery at www.art-fluent.com. Awards include Best of Show ($750) and two Director's Choice awards ($250 each). Artists receive 100% of sales. This call is open to artists worldwide, both amateur and professional. Work that has been previously selected for Art Fluent exhibits, copied work, or work done under instructor guidance is not eligible. Open to all fine art mediums (oil, acrylic, watermedia, pastel, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture, fiber, wood, digital art) except film/video. A portion of entry fee proceeds is donated to organizations committed to the arts and supporting artists.
