Mosaic Arts International 2025: Fine Art & Site-Specific Mosaic

The Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA) invites artists working in mosaic media to submit applications to Mosaic Arts International (MAI) 2025: Fine Art & Site-Specific Mosaic. This juried exhibition presents contemporary fine art mosaics from SAMA's diverse international membership and will be held at Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens, Polasek Gallery, Winter Park, Florida from August 26 – December 7, 2025. The exhibition is held in conjunction with SAMA's annual conference, The American Mosaic Summit, taking place October 30 – November 1, 2025 at the Hilton Orlando Hotel, Orlando, Florida. The Mosaic Arts International exhibition series celebrates established and emerging artists working in mosaic, with all segments combined representing 35–60 artists total.

Each artist may enter up to three (3) original works per segment for a maximum of six (6) entries at $20 per work. Fine Art entries consist of one primary image and up to three detail images (maximum four images per entry). Fine Art categories include Wall Mosaics (mounted to vertical surfaces, maximum 100 lbs. and 50 inches wide) and Free-Standing Mosaics (sculptural or three-dimensional works, maximum 100 lbs. on pedestal or 150 lbs. on floor). Site-Specific entries feature work permanently affixed to its intended environment, including public/private commissions, community projects, and large-scale sculpture. For each entry, provide title, 300-word artist statement, height, width, weight, year created, and materials list (omit brand names). Artwork must be sturdy and ready for installation; wall mosaics require proper hanging hardware (no sawtooth hangers or pressed wood frames).

All submissions must be made digitally through CaFÉ (callforentry.org) by July 8, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Images must be formatted as JPG files at 1200 px on the long side and no larger than 5MB per file. Each image must be labeled with the work's title and include a description of the view or angle. Digitally altered images may be disqualified. SAMA reserves the right to decline hanging/staging entries that do not follow guidelines and to pull works from exhibition if they do not match submitted images. The entry fee is nonrefundable.
