About This Call

The Montevallo Arts Collaborative will host Montevallo Arts Fest in Orr Park on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This outdoor, family-friendly arts festival features artists displaying and selling work ranging from fine arts to artisan works and fine crafts. The festival includes a children's art section, food trucks, and live music on an outdoor stage. Orr Park is located on the banks of Shoal Creek and draws shoppers from Shelby County, Birmingham, Clanton, and surrounding areas.

Artists may set up booths either Friday, April 17 between 1:00 and 6:00 p.m., or Saturday morning, April 18, from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Each booth space is 12' x 10', and artists must provide their own tents, tables, and displays. Artists must be present at their booths throughout the show, though booth sitters are available. Limited power is available for artists needing it for their art. Setup on Friday includes a hospitality bag with drinks and snacks Saturday morning. Montevallo Arts Collaborative is not responsible for losses to booths, tents, art, or merchandise. The event is rain or shine; artists should prepare for windy conditions and bring tent stakes, weights, and shims or levelers.

Categories include Fine Arts, Fine Crafts, Artisan, and Student works. Artists select a medium from: Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Photography, Digital Art, Mixed Media, Jewelry, Textiles, Wood, Metal, Clay/Ceramics, Glass, or Other. First Place in each medium receives a ribbon and $100 award. First Place in Fine Arts and Fine Crafts receive a plaque and $250 award. Best in Show receives a plaque and $500 award. All work must be original and executed by the artist. Reproductions are allowed but must be clearly marked and cannot exceed 30% of work for sale. Applicants must produce their own work; buy/sell merchandise is not allowed. Application fee is $25. Single booth fee is $50; double booths are $70. All fees are non-refundable. Artists are responsible for collecting and remitting city, county, and state sales tax (10% total). No Business License is required.
