About This Call
Monster Mash is a conceptual exhibition exploring perceptions of the 'MONSTROUS'. Artists are encouraged to utilize multiple mediums and disciplines to present a vision of monstrosity.
Eligibility: All artists 18 and over currently residing in California are eligible to apply. This call is for 2D and 3D works measuring less than 40 inches in any dimension. Submit up to 5 images with your application. Include the medium, dimensions, title, any relevant installation information, and a brief artist statement regarding the monster in your artwork. Entry fee is $20.
Applications are due by midnight July 13th, 2018. Acceptance notifications will be received no later than July 28th, 2018. All artwork must be delivered to ArtVale Gallery by August 13th, 2018. The exhibition runs August 22nd – November 3rd, 2018, with opening on August 24th and closing on November 2nd. All artwork must be for sale. Artists receive 60% of retail sales; ArtVale retains a 40% commission. Payments are made via PayPal or check within 60 days of the exhibition close. Artists are responsible for transporting artwork to and from the gallery; if shipped, artists must provide prepaid return shipment.
