About This Call
Monochromica - The Journal Of Monochrome Art is a bi-monthly boutique-quality publication dedicated to bringing fresh dynamic art to the forefront, all in the issue's monochrome color scheme. Monochromica is distributed and available to art curators, collectors, consultants, and interior designers worldwide -- the people looking for art themed by specific color scheme and tone. The theme for Issue 007 is any color, but must be true monochrome. Published artworks must adhere to the color theme for this issue, and must be all tones of a single color. Black and white are allowed in backgrounds, unless the entire work itself is black/white/grey.
Selected artists receive a two page gatefold presentation in the next issue, featuring their headshot, biography, artist statement (if submitted), and social media/contact information, along with up to 3 of their submitted artworks based on available space. All art is published in full color. Your artwork, information, and link will also be displayed in the Monochromica online 3D virtual art gallery exhibition for that issue. Artists may submit 1 to 10 artworks, and consistency of quality is a major factor for consideration.
Submission to the juried artist call is free. Selected artists will be asked to pay a US$100 inclusion fee for publication, which covers production and distribution costs. All artists will be notified of the jury's opinion via email within 7 business days after the submission deadline. For maximum and environmentally positive distribution, Monochromica is distributed electronically, with high quality print copies available on-demand indefinitely from their website.
