Monochrome Explored

Monochrome Explored is an online juried exhibition running March 15 - April 15, 2024. The exhibition explores how the reduction of color to a single hue or the elimination of color completely allows artists to focus viewer attention and open conceptual, technical, and process-driven approaches. Site:Brooklyn is seeking works in a range of artistic styles and mediums including oil on canvas, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, photography, digital, graphite, charcoal, pen and ink, multimedia, and sculpture.

The exhibition is juried by Tess Thackara, a culture writer and editor based in New York whose writing has appeared in The New York Times, T Magazine, The FT, Artsy, The Art Newspaper, and other publications. Site:Brooklyn Gallery is dedicated to exhibiting contemporary artists and has launched a new series of interactive online exhibitions selected by expert jurors through the open call format.

Entry deadline is February 12, 2024 at 11:59 PM MT. Entry fee is $26.00 for three images, with a $10 media fee for each additional image (3-9 images total, 0-3 videos). Only original works may be submitted. Artists must be 18 years or older. Accepted artists will be notified February 21, 2024 and must upload high-resolution photo files of their work. All artwork must be priced for sale and available throughout the exhibition. Artists retain 60% commission on all sales. Contact [email protected] with questions.
