About This Call
Monochrome is a juried exhibition seeking monochromic works—art in black and white or varying tones of a single color. Site:Brooklyn is looking for monochrome works across all mediums and utilizing all processes. The exhibition is open to all artists 18 years of age or older working in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, collage, photography, and video.
Entry fee is $35.00 for up to three images, with $10 for each additional image (maximum 12 images total, or up to 3 videos). Only original works may be submitted. All entries must be received by September 10, 2019 at 11:59 PM MT. Notification of acceptance will be sent September 19, 2019. The exhibition runs November 1–30, 2019, with an opening reception on Friday, November 1 from 6-9 PM.
Accepted artwork must be maximum 60" x 60" x 24" deep and suitably framed to professional standards (Plexiglas required except for hand-delivered work under 24" x 30"). Work must be wired or have cleat attachment and ready for hanging. All artwork must be priced for sale. Site:Brooklyn retains a 50% commission on all sales. Artists are responsible for delivery and return shipping and must insure their own work. Work cannot be withdrawn or sales shipped before the end of the exhibit. Juror: Donna Harkavy, New York-based independent curator.
