Monochrome

This exhibition is for monochromatic works of art only, both 2D and 3D. Works must be comprised of one hue (such as black and white, grayscale, or blue scale) and should not exceed 60 inches in any dimension. All mediums including painting, printmaking, mixed media, and sculpture will be considered. Works must be for sale. Up to two works may be entered per artist at $20 for the first piece and $5 for an optional second piece. Works will be accepted on a piece-by-piece basis due to space limitations. The exhibition will be held at 311 Gallery in Downtown Raleigh, North Carolina during July 2021.

Entries must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time on Monday, June 7th. Submissions should include one JPEG per work at least 1000px at the widest dimension, not exceeding 4MB. Images should be cropped to show only the artwork with proper lighting. If accepted, 2D artworks must hang by wire and 3D works must be able to stand with no or minimal assistance. Works must be shipped or hand delivered to the gallery and received no later than 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 26th. Expected drop-off/mail-in dates are Thursday, June 24th (12-4 p.m.), Friday, June 25th (12-4 p.m.), and Saturday, June 26th (12-6 p.m.).

The exhibition is open to all living artists in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. 311 Gallery retains a 40% commission on all work sold, with the artist receiving 60%. Commission checks will be mailed approximately 30 days after the time of sale. The gallery has blanket insurance for works on the premises but is not liable for damages during transportation.
