Monochromatic: One color, Infinite possibilities

Monochromatic color schemes are derived from a single base hue and extended using its shades, tones and tints. For example, in the Blue spectrum we have Azure, Cobalt, Cerulean, Ultramarine, etc. Reds might include Garnet, Crimson, Rose—the possibilities for explorations within each hue are endless. How expressive can you be utilizing a single base hue? Contemporary, expressionistic, abstract, exploratory, and/or experimental entries are welcomed.

Each artist may submit up to 3 individual pieces of artwork for consideration into this juried online show. Diptychs and Triptychs are considered 1 piece of work and must be submitted as one image. Film and video are not accepted. The submission deadline is January 30, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fee is $40 for non-members and $30 for O'Hanlon Members (use coupon code OH30). Artists will be notified of results by email by February 4. A Zoom roundtable art discussion to celebrate the show will be held on Tuesday, February 22 at 4 p.m. Pacific time, open to all selected artists.

This juried online show is judged by Suzanne Gray of Seager Gray Gallery in Mill Valley, CA. Works previously shown at the O'Hanlon Gallery in-house or online are not eligible for consideration. Open to all artists ages 16 and older. Work does not need to be for sale.
