About This Call

NEXT Gallery invites artists of all backgrounds to explore what money means to them for their online exhibition "Money." Does it make the world go 'round? Can it buy happiness? Gold standard, Bitcoin, counterfeit, or petty cash—how does money shape what we value and why? As a non-profit artist collective, they know that creative labor often exists outside or in spite of traditional markets. They invite work that questions value, exposes the economies that exploit art and artists, or subverts the logic of capital. Submissions might consider how we collectively or individually value art, what other forms of wealth or exchange we can create, or how worth might be measured beyond price. They also welcome work that approaches the theme more personally, symbolically, or playfully.

This is a juried show with a $25 entry fee for up to 2 pieces. Selected artists will be notified by December 18, 2025 and the show will go live December 22, 2025. There is a $75 award for jury selected "Best in Show." All sales inquiries will be forwarded directly to the artist, as NEXT Gallery will not participate in any sales transactions. All artwork must be original in concept and not copied from another artist's work, and no AI art will be accepted.
