Monaco Park Fitness Court Mural - Commerce City

The City of Commerce City and the Commerce City Cultural Council are seeking to purchase three mural artworks from Colorado artists or artists residing in the Colorado Region (Colorado and neighboring states of Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona). The artwork will be vinyl wrapped on the backside of a fitness court wall in Monaco Park, Commerce City, CO.

The mural wall measures 32' L x 7' H (384"w x 85.75"h exactly) and will be printed digitally on high-quality anti-graffiti laminated vinyl. Each piece of artwork will be featured for at least one year. The art selection committee seeks artwork that promotes positive imagery and represents local or regional values unique to the area, with a focus on wellness and fitness in the community. Artwork must not condone violence, include references to playgrounds or young children, reference skateboarding or skate park imagery, or serve as advertisements for brands or businesses.

Each selected artist will receive $5,000. The artist budget includes submission of final artwork files only; the City of Commerce City will cover printing and installation costs. Applicants must submit up to two renderings/concepts, artwork title and artist statement, current résumé, digital portfolio of past work, and responses to eligibility questions through the CaFÉ online application system.
