Modern Craft

Submission is open to all artists over the age of 18 residing in the United States. Work must be made within the last two years and cannot have been previously shown at the Art Center. All work must be original and made by the artist or artist team. Collaborative works made between artists are eligible for inclusion. All mediums historically or traditionally considered crafts are eligible. Installation artists should contact the Art Center before applying to ensure compatibility of space. Artwork must not weigh more than 250 pounds or be larger than 10 feet in any direction.

Entry fee is $35 for submission of two pieces, with $5 for each additional piece submitted up to 15 pieces maximum. Submission deadline is March 5, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Notification of acceptance will be sent by March 7, 2022. Work delivery is March 8–16, 2022, with installation March 17–27, 2022. The exhibition runs March 28–June 3, 2022. All accepted work must remain on display until the end of the exhibition. All work must come ready to install/hang. For multi-media and other installations, the artist should be available to assist with installation.

All work may be offered for sale, with the Art Center retaining a 35% commission on all sales. Awards include Best in Show ($300) and two Best of Best runners-up awards ($100 each). Artist is responsible for shipping costs and insurance while work is in transit. Work must be shipped in a reusable container and return shipping is to be paid by the artist. Hand-delivered work may be dropped off beginning March 7, 2022. The Art Center is open Monday–Friday 9 a.m.–10 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.–6 p.m., and Sunday noon–6 p.m.
