Mixing It Up With Mixed Media Artwork

Falkirk Cultural Center invites artists residing within the nine counties of the San Francisco Bay Area to submit up to 3 separate pieces of original work completed in the past two years, not previously shown in a Falkirk Cultural Center exhibition. The exhibition theme is "Mixing it up with Mixed Media," featuring work that combines two or more different mediums such as collages, paintings, assemblages, or mixed media sculptural works. All media are accepted except jewelry or videography.

Entry deadline is July 10, 2023 at 11:59pm MST. Entry fee is $40 for one entry, with $7.50 per additional entry (up to 2 additional entries allowed). Submit up to 3 digital images online. Accepted entries will be notified by July 12, 2023. Hand delivery of artwork is required on Monday, August 7, 2023 between 10am-3pm. The exhibition runs August 11 – September 15, 2023, with an opening reception on Friday, August 11 from 5-8pm. Awards are 1st place $100, 2nd place $75, and 3rd place $50.

Size and weight limitations: 2D artwork maximum 48 x 48 inches, not exceeding 30 pounds; 3D artwork maximum 48 x 48 x 48 inches, not exceeding 70 pounds. All works on paper must be framed and ready to hang. All 2D artwork must have hanging wires attached with D-rings, mirror hangers, or interior-mounted screw-eyes. All 3D artwork must be stable and ready to display. Falkirk Cultural Center retains 30% commission on all sales. Work is not insured while on Falkirk premises.
