Mixed Media International Juried Art Exhibition

Site:Brooklyn invites artists to submit work for an international juried mixed media exhibition. Mixed media is a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or materials. This exhibition will reflect the ambitious, innovative and contemporary in mixed media today.

Eligibility: Open to all artists 18 years of age or older. Entry fee is $35 for up to three images, plus $10 for each additional image (minimum 3, maximum 12 images). Only original works may be submitted. Entries that differ significantly from their digital images may be rejected. All entries must be received by midnight September 17, 2018 MST. Notification of acceptance will be made via email by September 24, 2018. A return confirmation of participation is required by September 29, 2018 to hold a spot in the exhibition.

Accepted Artwork Requirements: Maximum size 72" x 60" x 12" D. All artwork must be suitably framed to a professional standard using Plexiglas (except hand-delivered work less than 24" x 30"). Assemblage, canvas and wood panels do not require a frame. Work must be wired or have a cleat attachment and ready for hanging. All artwork must be priced for sale. A label must be affixed to the back indicating artist name, title, medium, dimensions, price, and which end is the top. No price or title changes are allowed after entry. No artwork may be substituted. Work cannot be withdrawn or sales shipped before the end of the exhibit. Shipped work must arrive between October 12-29, 2018. Hand delivery is available October 29-30, 2018, 12:00-5:00 PM. Hand-delivered work must be picked up December 17-18, 2018, 12:00-5:00 PM. Site:Brooklyn retains a 50% commission on all exhibition sales. The artist assumes all responsibility for insuring artwork against shipping damage or loss. Site:Brooklyn assumes no liability for any loss or damage to artwork while in their care. Exhibition dates: November 9 – December 15, 2018. Opening reception: Friday, November 16, 2018, 6-9 PM. Juror: Gracie Mansion, independent art consultant and curator.
