About This Call
The 17th annual Mistletoe Market Fine Art Festival will be held in the beautiful live oak covered Postell Park in the heart of the Pier Village, just steps from the ocean on St. Simons Island. The festival will feature over 70 juried talented artists and skilled artisans from around the region, showcasing an impressive and eclectic collection of handmade artwork and contemporary crafts. The festival will include a wide variety of two and three dimensional art, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, photography, textiles, candles, artisanal foods, wood, and glass. Free admission to all.
The festival takes place Saturday, December 6th from 10am to 5pm and Sunday, December 7th from 10am to 4pm. Each 10' x 10' space is $240. Artists must furnish their own WHITE tent (weights only-no stakes), display tables, skirting and chairs. All participants must make their own merchandise, with reproductions permitted for only 20% of work sold. No reselling of mass produced items is allowed. Check-in is Friday, December 5, from noon to 5pm, with continued set-up permitted after 5pm.
Glynn Visual Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been in operation on St. Simons Island since 1953. They host three festivals per year as fundraisers to support their organization. The jury process involves 6 jurors scoring applications using a Yes, No, or Maybe scale, with an average of 70 applications submitted each year and 65 artists selected to participate.
