About This Call
The Minnesota Brownfields - ReScape Awards recognizes redeveloped brownfield projects that have been completed and available for productive use between January 2010 and July 31, 2012. For purposes of this award, "brownfields" are environmentally impaired, abandoned or under-utilized properties, and "completed and ready for use" refers to built developments (ready for occupancy) and open space or infrastructure (end use is functioning as intended).
Applicants can be an individual, company, organization, governmental body or agency, or a group comprised of any of these. Applications may be submitted by any party having an interest or involvement in a project. At least one member of the nominating team must be a member of Minnesota Brownfields by the date of the application. The entry fee is $25.00.
A team of independent judges will evaluate applications across three award categories – environmental, economic, and community impact – and will select the winners. Judges will be comprised of leaders in government, environmental, business and/or academic professions. Applications will be evaluated based on measurable results of beneficial impact, use of innovative solutions, and incorporation of sustainability. For questions about eligibility, the application, or the process, contact 651-307-4371 or [email protected].
