About This Call
Art Fluent invites artists worldwide to submit artwork to an online exhibition themed around minimalism. The theme explores how minimalism strips art of anything extra and presents work in a straightforward manner, focusing on the basics to capture the beauty of simplicity.
Submissions are due by Friday, August 16, 2024 at midnight MST. Notification of acceptance and online gallery opening will be by Friday, September 13, 2024. Entry fee is $25 for the first entry and $10 for each additional entry, with a maximum of 20 total entries. Payment is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance. For 3D work, there is no need to pay for additional entries for detail shots; additional views may be sent by email to [email protected]. All accepted pieces will be displayed in the online gallery at www.art-fluent.com.
Awards include Best of Show ($750) and two Director's Choice awards ($250 each). The exhibition is curated and juried by Creative Director Amy Matteson Neill along with an anonymous committee of jurors. Work samples must be submitted as JPEGs (1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, maximum 5 MB) or video (MOV, MP4, WMV formats; 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio; minimum 640x480 resolution; maximum 1920x1080; under 100 MB file size). Up to 20 images and 6 videos may be submitted, with a minimum of 1 total sample required. This call is open to artists worldwide, both amateur and professional. Work copied or done under instructor guidance is not eligible. All fine art mediums are accepted (oil, acrylic, watermedia, pastel, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture, fiber, wood, ceramics, film/video, digital art), but AI-generated work will not be accepted. Work previously selected for Art Fluent exhibits will not be considered. For artwork sold, artists receive 100% of the sale. A portion of entry fee proceeds is donated to organizations committed to the arts and supporting artists.
