About This Call
The Chippewa Valley Museum is seeking regional artists for Midwest Tintamarresque, an interactive exhibition opening January 2027. We’re looking for creative, playful concepts inspired by “face-in-the-hole” cut-out figures—reimagined through humor, storytelling, and audience participation. Proposed ideas should engage with Midwestern themes or perspectives in inventive or unexpected ways. Selected artists’ work will be transformed into life-sized, interactive installations. Artists are welcome to submit both new and existing artworks. No submission fee Deadline to submit: July 14, 2026. 2D work is ideal for this printed format, but all media are welcome. Considering a 3D idea? Reach out to discuss feasibility! [email protected] Selected artists may choose to sell their work (70% artist / 30% museum commission) or mark it NFS.
